A letter from Vietnam to a US soldier's sister reached its destination after 52 years

A woman from Indiana was shocked to receive a letter from her brother 52 years later. His brother sent him the letter while he was serving in Vietnam.

Janice Tucker said she received an envelope by mail at her North Vermont home last week. The envelope was dated May 10, 2020. She was shocked to learn that the letter in the envelope had been sent by her brother, William Lone, in 1968.  Janice called her brother, who lived in South Carolina. His brother said he wrote the letter. William said he remembers putting the letter in an envelope and remembers putting a 5 cents stamp on it. He then gave the letter to another soldier to send to his home in Floyd's Knives, Indiana at the time.

Janice said the letter was not in its original envelope, which means the letter was found by someone who searched for her address and sent it to her current address. No travel signs found. She did not know what happened to the letter between 1968 and 2020. She thanked the sender.
